Qurratulain Hyder, the great urdu novelist
Qurratulain Hyder also known as Ainee aapa , was considered most influential Indian Urdu Novelist and fiction writer. It’s said that she starts writing when she was age eleven years old. She was prolific writer, journalist and an academic. Through her career she writes twelve novels and four collections of short stories. Her novel aag ka derya (river of fire)is grand Urdu novel. The context of aag ka derya (river of fire) was written in Indian sub-continental partition. Aag ka derya (river of fire) is awarded as the one of best novel written in Indian sub-continental partition.
Early life and home:
Qurratulain Hyder was born on 20 January 1928. She had very intellectual and well educated family. Her Mother Nazar Zahra was also writer and write novels His father Sajjad Haider Yildram was also fiction writer. Sajjad Haider Yildram was known Turkish language and inspired from Turkish literature. Qurratulain Hyder also characterizes him several times in his work. Qurratulain Hyder was awarded Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu on 1967 for pather ki awaz(short stories). On 1989 Jnanpith Award for Akhire shab ke hamsafar , which she ask to filmize but she was rejected. On 1994, Indian national academy of letter awarded with Sahitya Akademi Fellowship. On 1994, Government of India awarded her Padma Bhushan award.
Education and work:
Qurratulain Hyder was graducated from Indraprastha College from Delhi and some part from Laucknow university’s Isabella Thoburn College . After the partition of India she moved to Pakistan, then after she was gone to England and came back to India where she lived 20 years of her life. Qurratulain Hyder was journalist in India, on 1964 she was use to mange magazine at editors post. She was not professionally journalist but for kept on living she do journalism, and write fiction and stories later after job. Later She also served as urdu professor , she was studied Urdu in several universities, Aligarh Muslim university , University of Lowe and jamia Milia Islamia are some examples.

Qurratulain Hyder was died on 21august 2007 in hospital, Delhi. She was buried in jamia Milia islamia after death where she is now resting in peace after crossing aag ka derya , life.
