Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was born in born 31 December 1935. He is the king of Saudi Arabia and the custodian of two holy mosques. He is the head of House Of Saud. He served as the Deputy Governor and then the Governor of Riyadh. He has served Saudi Arabia for 48 years from 1963-2011. He became the Defence minister in 2011. He was the crown prince in 2012 and was appointed as the new Saudi Arabian king after the death of brother.

Early life

Salman was born on 31 December 1935. He was raised on  Murabba Palace and received his early education in Princes School in the capital city of Saudi Arabia. He studied religion and modern science.

Governor And Deputy Prime Minister

In 1963 he became the governor of Riyadh. His served for 48 years as a governor. He promoted the capital investment and foreign trade in his country well. In his reign, the relationships with Western world flourished resulting in advancement of Saudi Arabia. His five decades were amazing as a leader.

He was also the Chairman of King Abdul Aziz Foundation For Research. He did reforms to make life better for Saudi beggars. His prince salmon institute for disability research was the society for kidney patients. he toured several countries like Kuwait, Behrain, Qatar, Pakistan, Japan, France, China and Brunei.

Riyadh became the richest place in the region and an economic centre for trade and business. Salman became Second Deputy Prime Minister in the year 2011. He was promoted as the minister of Defence as well. He was selected for his abilities rather than his royal status. He finally became the Crown Prince of  Saudi Arabia in 2012. He took charge of the affairs of the state. Prince Salman launched his Twitter account in 2013.He was also the deputy chairman of military service.

King Of Saudi Arabia

On 23 January 2015, Salman finally became the king of Saudi Arabia. He is doing political reforms and social change. He is a good thinker and believe in modernizing his nation. He also support human rights and reduced the number of beggars in the country.

In February 2015, the Prince Charles of England met him on a tour of middle east. The King Salman  is giving grants to professional associations, literary and sports clubs and electricity department for development. He is also giving special favor to students and government employees.

Promoting Islam

In 2015, the punishment for rejecting Islam in Saudi Arabia is death. A man named Hafar Batin was given death punishement for rejecting Islam. Another person who  was a blogger was imprisoned in 2012 for insulting Islam.

Personal Life

Salman married three women, the first one was Sultana. She died in 2011. She was his cousin. His eldest son Fahd died due to heart attack in 2001. His second wife was Sarah.His third wife was Fahda bint Falah who gave birth to six sons who are the prince at this time under his reign.

Salman has declined a bit, he was very  healthy before but he went through a major  spinal surgery in the United States in 2010. He had a stroke also due to which his left arm does not work much.

Salman received a lifetime achievement Award from a Charity Foundation in 2013.
