Satya Narayana Nadella (CEO Microsoft)

Satya Narayana Nadella  was born in born August 19, 1967 who is current CEO of Microsoft.  He is an Indian-Americanbusiness executive. He was appointed as CEO on 4 February 2014.  Before becoming CEO of Microsoft, he was Executive Vice President. He was born into  Telugu speaking family.

Early Life And Career

He received his M.S. degree in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin. He worked with Sun Microsystems as a member of its technology staff. He joined Microsoft in 1992. He worked senior vice-president of Research and Development (R&D). He also received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Microsoft and His Passion

According to Nadella, he  “always wanted to build things”. That option was not available in the Manipal University so he went ahead with his masters at University of Wisconsin to peruse his passion.

He was made the CEO of Microsoft and took the charge for the made the president of Microsoft’s $19 billion Servers. Microsoft focused on the cloud computing heavily since the last decade, he transformed the world’s largest software company, its culture, its infrastructure, databases, cloud services and Microsoft Azure Cloud.

In 2011, the cloud services grew to 20.3 billion dollars. They were 16.6 billion before he became the CEO. His salary was  $700,000 initially with lots of bonuses and facilities. He held the previous positions with Microsoft in his multi decade career were :

He is the the third chief executive in the company’s history. The great legendary Bill Gates honored him on his promotion. He also met the prime minister of India Modi who also appreciated his efforts to be the pride for India in the field of technology.
