Shane Warne

Shane Keith Warne was born in 1969 is an Australian Spin Bowler and one of the greatest cricketers in the history. He was named named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in the 1994 and 1997 as a leading criceter.  played his first Test match in 1992 and was able to take 1000 wickets in ODIs and Test Cricket. He took 708 Test wickets which has been a record until Murlidharan broke it in 2007.He was also banned from cricket for accepting money from bookmakers, and sexual misconduct off the field. He retired on January 2007.

Early And Football

He was born in Melbourne and attended Hampton High School. He joined St Kilda Cricket Club and was a part of football club in under 19 team. He joined  Accrington Cricket Club in 1991 and did a great job with the ball. He took 73 wickets in 15.4 balls. Warne made his first-class cricket debut on 15 February 1991, taking 0/61 and 1/41 for Victoria.  He was then selected for the Australia B team in 1991.

Early international career

He joined the test team  in January 1992 at SCG. He was a bit low in form against Sirilanka where his figures were which he recorded 0/107. He took 300 Test wickets  in 1993. He made a record as a spin bowler in the same calendar year. He went to South Africa with Australia in 1994 and took ten wickets in the test cricket. He took 7/56 in the first innings of test match.

Australia played a series in Australian grounds against Pakistan in summer of 1995–96. As a key member of the team, Warne did wonderful bowling. He did so by taking 8 wickets in first test match.

Australia toured West Indies in 1996-97.Warne did good bowling in world cup 2006. In the final match against Sirilanka,Aussies lost but shane did well. He also played a nice semi final when he was man of the match with 4/36.

West indies tour of Australia for five test series was good. He picked up 19 wickets against Newzealand. Later in 1998 . In 1999, he suffered a shoulder injury and cancelled the tour of Pakistan. Shoaib Akhtar emerged as the brilliant new find for Pakistan. He was also at the center of controversy in 1999 series due to some behavior problems.

Mark Taylor was the Ashes series Captain but he retired and Steve Waugh took charge of the captaincy. Shane recovered from the One day Series against West Indies. He was selected to play in the World Cup 1999.Australia was seeking to win their first world cup again Since 1987. Steve Waugh put his trust hin Warne. Good bowling of Warne enabled Pakistan to be bowled out for 132.

Warne was retained as Aussie world cup captain in the Zimbabwe in 1999. He joined English Country Side Hemshire. He was removed as the world cup  captian in 2000. Shane missed the whole Australian summer in in 2001 series. Australia played against South Africa and Newzealand. Against Pakistan in 2002 Australia played a three test series. Shane was out due to injury and had confusion for being in 2003 world cup or not. He was guilty for breaching the code for drugs according to the committee and was banned for one year.

 Post Ban Return and Final Years

Shane Warne came back to the world of cricket in 2004 internationally. He took record 500 wickets after Courtney Walsh and broke became the greatest bowler in the history.

Warne played his final test in Sydney Cricket Ground. In 2008 he was retired internationally and became captain of Rajhistan Royals in IPL. Warne was fined for 4500 dollars. In July he retired from all formats in 2014 and stopped captaining Melbourne Stars.

The legacy of Shane Warne will remain forever not only in Australian cricket but also in the world cricket history. His leg spin master deliveries were closely observed and followed by the leading cricketers. His inspiration was great Abdul Qadir of Pakistan. Warne had the ability to spin the ball even on the unfriendly pitches of Sirilanka and Pakistan.

Warne also did commentary for Nine Network of Sports. He was also signed up with Sky Sports in 2009.The Nine Network refused to renew his contract because they think Warne was very expensive.
