Yoko Ono, singer , songwriter and Multimedia Artist

Yoko Ono is a former Japanese singer, songwriter and current working as multimedia artist. She is the wife of famous pop singer and The Beatles front man John Lennon. Who was sung most of her song, also who release his first solo album after meeting and marrying with her. Yoko Ono is currently a world known personality; she is also working as peace activist.

Education:

Yoko Ono was born on 8 February 1933 in Tokyo, Japan. She had a wealthy aristocratic family, her father was work for Yokohama Specie Bank. Her father was moved to San Francisco, California before of her birth but soon after four year his father and family get back to Japan in 1937. She was subsequently enrolled at Elite Peers School in Tokyo. Her family once again moved to New York in 1940 then again back to Japan after an year in 1941. Ono at the age of 18 moved with her parent to Scarsdale, New York where she was studied at Sarah Lawrence College but left with her first husband Toshi Ichiyanagi.

Work and Contribution:

John Lennon had a great taste for art; he was grotesque artist of his school. He was visited art preview exhibition at gallery of London in 1966, where Yoko Ono met with him. They began affair which was continued nearly at 18 months, she was married with John in March 1969. They worked collaborately with nearly eleven years till 1980, till the sudden death of John Lennon. She was continued the art career of John Lennon as well as efforts to honor Lennon memory including starting the Lennon Ono Grant for Peace Prize in 2002. Their son Sean Lennon is also a singer and artist, who have rights of his own music, while Ono also continuing her career, recording albums, performing concert tour and composing Broadways musicals. She exhibited her art internationally; currently she is well known first U.S. Retrospective of her work opened in New York City.
